Cue

Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

Cue ("we", "us") is a scheduling service for music publishers, managers and their writers and producers, available at withcue.cc. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Cue is the data controller for this service. Contact: support@withcue.cc.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, workspace and role.
  • Contact details you or your workspace add: names, email addresses, phone numbers and messaging preferences of the people being scheduled.
  • Scheduling content: the email threads and messages sent to Cue to arrange sessions, and the replies people send back.
  • Calendar availability, only when you connect a calendar (see below).
  • Payment records: when you pay, Stripe processes your card. We receive your name, email, amount and payment status — never your full card details.
  • Basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working.

Google and Microsoft calendar data

If you connect a Google or Outlook calendar, Cue reads your busy and free times so it can suggest session times that work. Cue does not read the contents of your other events for that purpose. Cue only writes to your calendar to add holds and sessions you have confirmed through Cue.

Cue's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell calendar data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Availability never crosses into another workspace except as plain busy/free. You can disconnect a calendar at any time from your profile, or revoke access in your Google or Microsoft account settings.

How we use data

  • To coordinate, propose, confirm and remind people about sessions.
  • To contact people by email, WhatsApp or text message as part of scheduling.
  • To take payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To keep the service secure, fix problems and support you.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in running the service, and consent where required (for example, connecting a calendar).

AI processing

Cue uses an AI model to read scheduling requests and replies so it can understand proposed times. This text is processed only to provide the service and is not used to train models.

Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers to run Cue: our hosting, database and email provider; Google and Microsoft (calendars); Stripe (payments); Twilio and Meta WhatsApp (messages, only when switched on); and an AI model provider. They may only use data to provide their service to us. We never sell personal data.

Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations, and delete or anonymise it afterwards. Calendar connections are encrypted, access is limited by workspace, and sign-in supports two-factor authentication.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@withcue.cc. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and note the date above.
